Memory One: You are stood in a hotel, it is crowded with your classmates in uniform. You are on a school trip to Kyoto. However you aren't mingling with your peers right now, you are busy talking on the phone. You keep you voice low, you don't want to be overheard.
You keep an eye on your surroundings as you speak. "Yeah, looks like it does exist. A medicine that will allow you to return to your original form, Mama."
The voice on the phone sounds like an adult, a woman. "Then you should find the developer of this medicine at all costs," she breaks off to cough, "and obtain it."
More coughing before she continues. "Once I return to my original form we’ll stop running from place to place, and we will launch a counterattack." Cough, cough. "Failure is not an option, Masumi."
There's only one thing to say to that. "Okay!"
Memory Two You are stood in front of a TV, smaller this time, just a child of ten. The TV is playing a recording of a young man in his mind twenties, teaching you Jeet Kune, a martial art.
You are still relatively new to the art, a lack of experience obvious in the way you move.
"Remember Masumi," The man looks very similar to you, the same green eyes and he smiles through the TV at you, though it is clearly a recording and not a live feed. "Relax, don't tense your shoulders."
You'd forgotten that! You take a breath and focus on relaxing. You smile at your brother, glad to have him teaching you even if it is just like this.
Memory Three Masumi, now at her current age of seventeen, is standing in the hall on a train. The train is clearly not the Voidtrecker Express, but is similar in layout with cabins to Masumi’s left and windows that show the passing surroundings to her right. In front of Masumi is a tall man, in his early thirties. He is looking at her. The man is wearing dark clothes and a brimmed hat, and has a large burn scar on one side of his face. The man has similar green eyes to Masumi.
"Who are you?" Masumi asks and is met by silence, she quickly grows upset at the lack of response. "I’m asking, who the hell are you?"
The man smirks beneath the brim of the hat. "Huh, you haven’t changed a bit, Masumi."
Masumi's eyes widen as she realises who this is, what this means. "Shuu...Shuu-nii? Is it really you? But..but how? I heard that you were dead..."
She crumples and there is a sudden jolt of pain. For anyone familiar with tasers or other such weapons then it is obvious that she has been tazed into unconsciousness. The memory ends suddenly.
