Memory One Walking through a crowded train station, you absently check your distance from Ran and Sonoko, making sure that certain people were still too far away to hear your conversation.

But most of your attention is on the phone held up to your ear.

“My bad, My bad,” you say with amusement. “Sounds like things got heated for a bit.” Your amusement only grows as you hear the outraged voice on the other end of the line.

“I didn’t sign up for this!” the KID shouts at you. From the lack of ambient noise, you assume that he is on his hangglider. “These bad guys are so dangerous, What the hell! If I hadn’t hidden the hangglider I would have been grilled, man!”

“Well this is YOU we’re talking about,” You say smugly. In one move you managed to outwit Bourbon and Vermouth and get Haibara out of danger. You have good reason to be feeling a little self-satisfied. Besides, you'd had full faith in KID's ability to escape the situation. “I knew you’d be prepared. Anyways, consider yourself out of my debt.”

“Hell YEAH I am!” KID snaps back at you.

You snicker over the phone at your favorite rival. “Oh! Remember to drop off this phone I gave you to the agency.” And before KID can say anything else, you hang up on him.

You were probably going to pay for this at a future heist. Still, blackmailing KID into helping out had been both very effective and extremely satisfying.

Memory Two Your feet tap across the tiled floor as you make your way through Tropical Land's Castle. You seem distinctively larger in this memory. You've brought Ran here as an apology for losing her phone in the last case. So far, it has been fun. And you've just found out about something that you are sure she would like. The anticipation of her reaction to your surprise is making your mood unusually mischievous.

Looking around the castle, you spot her looking out onto the amusement park's grounds from a viewing window. You carefully sneak up on her and press the can of cold cola in your hand to her cheek.

“Hey, aren’t you thirsty?” You grin at her as she pulls away in surprise at the chill of the can, and hand it over to her as she thanks you. Then you catch her hand and pull her as you run out of the castle, running down the steps and across the bridge out into the amusement park.

“Shinichi!” Ran calls as you pull her along. “Where are we going?”

You turn back and smile at her, nearly bubbling with anticipation. “Don’t worry and just follow me!”

You keep running, heading toward the exact center of the park. And as you get closer you check your watch and start counting down from ten. At 5 you run down some steps into the plaza, stopping exactly at the center with the ferris wheel directly behind you.

“3, 2, 1 and Zero!” And just as you reach zero a ring of water rises from the fountain surrounding you both. This is quickly followed by a second and third ring, as a circle of bubbling water rises around them. It is a very nearly magical moment, as you both look out at the veil of water concealing you from the rest of the park. Ran smiles and laughs. You blush a little, but smile proudly at her reaction.

“Amazing!” Ran claps her hands in delight as she turns and smiles at you. “That’s Amazing!”

You blush again, then look away awkwardly. You might have brought her here just because you were sure she would like it, but that didn’t mean you wanted to admit to something as sappy as that. “Y-you like stuff like this, right?”

Memory Three Conan was walking with two children through a dark cavern, the only light coming from their flashlights. Suddenly a third child comes running back through the cavern, dropping to his knees right in front of Conan and crying out about a corpse. Even in the dim light from Conan’s flashlight the terror on his face was obvious.

He is quickly followed by the sound of footsteps echoing through the cavern, as a man approaches them and pulls a gun out of his jacket.

“Handgun!” Conan shouts, and he immediately tackles the other three kids to the floor. “Get down!”

And as he hits the floor, Conan felt the shocking pain of the bullet passing through his stomach. It hurt, more than anything since the night he was poisoned. But the panic and adrenaline of it still gave him just enough energy to get the kids moving. He drags them down out of sight behind a boulder, and presses a hand over Ayumi’s mouth as he keeps the other two silent. With the other hand he presses down on his stomach, hard. He could already tell this was bad. Even apart from the pain, he was already starting to feel shaky from the blood loss. His shirt was already growing damp from the blood.

He listens silently, fighting to focus through the pain, as the criminals discuss what happened. They were bankrobbers and murderers, who’d come here to hide the body of one of their partners whose face had been seen. Now their faces had been seen by the kids, and they had no intention of letting any witnesses survive.

Conan waits until they finish planning how they were going to split up, and until he hears the sounds of their footsteps dying away. And then he immediately reaches for the badge and starts talking to it, trying to reach Haibara. But there is no response.

“I’m sure Conan-kun will think of a bright idea. Ne, Conan-kun?” Ayumi turns to look at him with a bright smile and gasps as she sees Conan pressing his hands against a growing bloodstain on his stomach. He fights for breath as he sits there, breathing in shallow gasps of air. He manages to put some kind of smile on his face, although judging from the kids reactions it wasn't nearly convincing enough. He could hear them erupt with panicked questions.

Ayumi take a deep breath to keep from crying. "Conan-kun. If we don't move soon those bad people are going to come back!"

He focuses on his labored breathing for a moment, as he tries to think through everything that needed to be done. And it needed to be done now. He didn't know how much longer he would be conscious. He had to give them a chance to make it out of here while he still could. "Wait. Sooner or later Haibara and the professor will come to this cave. If they don't know anything when they come in and go to the back of the cave, they'll probably be killed. we have to tell them first that the cavern is dangerous."

His breathing breaks as he gasps for air. He dimly hears the kids asking what they could do. What kind of message wouldn't be found by the criminals?

Slowly, Conan reaches into his jacket and pulls out a handful of stickers. "We'll use these homing devices used to track down criminals." He carefully opens his hand to show the kids. "There's no time to explain. Hurry up and do as I say."
