Memory One There is nothing but corpses left, you travel through a cloud of corpse power that infects anyone who breaths it in. You wear the face of Xingchen and the man's sword is strapped to your back as you walk.

He cough as if completely infected by the powder in the air when in reality you already has an antidote to the powder that you created. You are brought into a shed by Wei Wuxian who is surrounded by junior disciples. All of which were lured here by you. Suddenly a fierce corpse drops in from the ceiling. It is Song Lan and you watch as the man points to you as the one who killed him.

You smirk beneath the mask but stay quiet. Eventually Song Lan gets drawn away by Wen Ning and Wei Wuxian sends the disciples out. When you are alone, Wei Wuxian confronts you, you remove the mask and ask your senior to help save Xingchen's soul. He declines which makes you mad and in turn brings Lan Wangji running to fight you.

You have many tricks up your sleeve, but this is a battle you will not win. You know this, you are not surviving past this day.

Memory Two You walk along with Xingchen. You are on a busy city street with the two of you walking side by side. Xingchen stops at a vendor to purchase vegetables and the vendor tries to sell you bad ones since the daozhang is blind and doesn't know any better.

You intervene and out of fright the vendor ends up giving the best vegetables for a better price. You spend much of their day at each other's side and you even sits there with the man while he prepares dinner. This is the most peaceful you have ever felt, the best days of your life.

You eat dinner together and share stories around the fire. When you speak your voice is not recognisable, this may be your peace but it would sour fast if your identity were known.

Memory Three Xue Yang wipes the blood from Xingchen's hands and his face. Cleaning the man up, even though it is obvious that he isn't breathing and is in fact dead. But he takes the best care of him and makes him comfortable in a circle of talismans.

He then goes and prepares dinner. A table setting for two as he prepares the vegetables and serves them. He then turns and waits for the man to wake. But..he doesn't. He stands up and he leans over him, as if trying to see if he is breathing. Checking for any signs of life. When nothing comes he tears down the talisman array, there is shouting and crying and he leans over the other in misery. It's when he first accepts the fact that Xingchen is dead. A line of red across his throat that was caused by Xingchen's own sword and hand.
