Rules
~ Don't be a jerk!
Should be self-explanatory. Please treat everyone like you would like to be treated. This game has no tolerance for malice, hate speech or bullying. Be respectful to people. If someone asks you not to tag them, or someone has specific content they would like to be warned for or avoid, please respect those choices. Always warn for content that could cause upset or discomfort to others.
~ Practice Good Communication
We get that communication, especially in a text-based format, can be tricky. Nonetheless, please try and keep communication lines open. If you are confused or annoyed by the actions of another player, please attempt to talk and sort things out between you. We get that not everyone gets along and that's okay; just be mature about it! If you need any help mediating between you and another player, the mods are happy to help.
Likewise please communicate with the mods! We aren't mind readers, and we would always like to know if you have a problem before it becomes unwieldy. Mod contact information is here and if you would like to bring a 'buddy' to a mod conversation that's fine!
~ Mind the gap!
You already know this, but it's worth repeating. A player is not their character and a character is not their player. If a character is antagonistic, it doesn't mean the player is. Always remember: behind the character is a person dealing with all the messiness that is life!
~ No godmoding or infomodding
Godmoding is playing another person's character, or directing their actions without permission. Infomodding is using strictly OOC knowledge to solve IC problems. Please don't do either!
~ Be active
AC is two threads of five comments per month. If you need a break that's absolutely fine, just go here to hiatus. A hiatus of a week or more exempts you from AC that month. You can hiatus for up to a month. Please use the drop page if you are leaving us.
~ Four characters at a time.
You can app one character per round. This limit may increase in the future depending on game growth.
~ Stay IC
Another obvious rule. Characters may change and develop in their time with us, but we would expect all development to be in-line with their personality and history.
~ Ask questions!
