Animals, familiars and other NPC creatures can be either brought along with a character's arrival, or purchased from the On-Board Shop. This page is to help everyone keep track of who owns what, where. Click the creature's name to see the full information posted by the owner's player.

Animal Rules
As of July 2021

Small (30)
These are small domestic animals, such as mice, rabbits, ferrets, geckos, birds such as parakeets or pigeons, turtles and fish. Some miniature dogs and cats can be purchased here, but they would be handbag pets - munchkins and chihuahuas. The rule of thumb for small animal purchases is that they should be able to live comfortably in a cage or tank.

Medium (100)
These are the more generic domestic pet animals. Cats, small or medium-sized dogs, badgers, foxes, monkeys. Miniature goats and deer, large birds such as eagles or vultures. The rule of thumb for medium animal purchases is that they should be a manageable pet size. An adult human should be able to lift and handle them without difficulty. Animals may be larger in height or length than the examples given, provided they are not bulky and cannot be mounts.

If an animal is capable of evolving or transforming into a larger animal, the catalyst for this transformation will cost the difference between the animal's current and new size category. A creature's adult size is what is considered for purchase categories.

We cannot give specific sizes for Pokemon due to the inconsistencies in source - anime, game etc, so the rules of thumb should be applied in good faith. The important thing is to ensure that you keep the size of your fictional animals consistent in play.

Starter companions, which take up the character's starting item slot, are an exception, and can be any size of creature provided they are not large enough and/or sturdy enough to be a mount.

Summoned creatures are not affected by these rules provided their summoning is for a limited duration.

Name: Eidolon
Type: Culdcept Card
Description: Image is linked above. Looks like the crave monster from the old cereal commercials. One of her smaller creatures, Eidolon gets into everything. She only has one now, will have more soon, hopefully.
Behaviour: Curious, almost nosy. sneaks around to find interesting things or listen in on interesting conversations.
Location: Often in her card, though sometimes allowed to roam free. When left on its own it will either curl up with Najaran or find a quiet place to observe from, like on top of or inside cabinets in the kitchen.
Permissions: Sure, but please link me. Always up for plotting, esp. of an accidental scare...

Name: Gremlin
Type: Culdcept Card
Description: Image is linked above. Small scaled critter, looks like the sort of gremlin that might have been fed after midnight.
Behaviour: Cunning and curious, loves to investigate tech. Smarter than he seems by a lot.
Location: Usually in her card, though more and more she's been letting him roam free. So often he can be found on an ICP or other tech.
Permissions: Sure, but please link me. Always up for plotting.

Name: Thunderbeak
Type: Culdcept Card
Description: Image is linked above. picture an anorexic dragon with dinosaur ancestors that shoots lighing and fire from its mouth and is large enough to ride.
Behaviour: Thunderbeak is too large to come out in the train, but when he is out he is kind of like a slightly obnoxious big brother to Naja when not in combat. In that he will try to eat her head in one moment, and be fiercely protective over her in the next.

Name: Cait Sith
Type: Culdcept Card
Description: Image is linked above. When his cloak is down he looks like a cat walking on his hind paws wearing a red cloak that covers him from neck to knees. When he is feeding, however, the cloak flies up revealing that rather than a torso, he has a gem free floating where a body ought to be. He eats by absorbing spells into that gem, though sometimes he "burps" them back out from his mouth.
Behaviour:Friendly and eager to help. Loves scritches. Has a flowery way of speaking.
Location: Usually in her card, though like some of the others she's been letting him wander alone more. When he does he usually is in the garden car or the greenhouse.
Permissions: Plot with me first, please. Mostly because he talks. A lot. >.<

Description: Image is linked above. A drill bit spear looking thing instead of feet, a thin metal body with armor on the top most bit and a spiked helmet.
Behaviour: Aggressively defesnive, over dramatic in speech

Type: Man-headed cane.
Description: Image is linked above. An elegant looking walking stick with a hooked top. There is a face on the front of the hook with a drooping prehensile mustache.
Behaviour: protective over Najaran while still being critical of her.
Location: With Naja nearly at all times.
